MathCross Privacy Policy
1. Who operates MathCross
MathCross is published under the Jac Bergson brand by Jaap van den Wassenberg. For privacy questions, email jacbergson@protonmail.com.
2. Information stored by MathCross
MathCross stores game information needed to provide the app, including:
- a local player name or nickname and selected avatar;
- puzzle progress, XP, levels, streaks and statistics;
- Career progress, Daily Puzzle results, collections and challenges;
- app settings, such as language and notification preferences;
- purchase entitlement status as reported by Apple.
The app does not require a separate MathCross account.
3. Local storage and iCloud synchronization
Game progress is stored locally on the device. When the user is signed in to iCloud and iCloud is available for MathCross, supported game progress and settings are automatically stored in the user's private CloudKit database and synchronized between the user's Apple devices. MathCross continues to work locally when iCloud is unavailable.
The device-wide daily allowance of free full hints remains local to each device and is not synchronized through iCloud. Premium purchase entitlement is restored through Apple StoreKit rather than through CloudKit.
Users can request a new synchronization or remove MathCross cloud data from the app's settings. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple's own privacy terms.
4. Advertising and consent
MathCross uses Google Mobile Ads for interstitial and voluntarily requested rewarded advertisements. Depending on the user's region and privacy choices, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics and performance information to deliver, measure and protect advertising.
MathCross uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising privacy choices where required. Available privacy choices can be reopened from the app's settings when Google indicates that privacy options are required.
Premium removes regular interstitial advertisements. Premium and non-Premium users receive two free full hints per local calendar day. After that allowance, a user may voluntarily watch one rewarded advertisement for one additional full hint.
5. Notifications
Notifications are optional. If permission is granted, MathCross schedules local reminders for the Daily Puzzle and the user's streak. Permission can be changed in iOS Settings, and reminders can be disabled in MathCross.
6. Purchases
Purchases are processed and verified by Apple through StoreKit. MathCross does not receive or store payment-card details. Apple may process purchase and transaction information under Apple's own privacy terms.
7. Children and families
MathCross is a general-audience educational puzzle game. A local profile requires only a name or nickname and an avatar. The app does not request a date of birth, school, home address or similar sensitive profile information. Parents and guardians should use a nickname rather than a child's full legal name.
8. Diagnostics and support
When a user contacts support, the user chooses what information to include. Technical diagnostics supplied by Apple, Google or the user may be used to investigate crashes, advertising availability and performance issues.
9. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on the device until it is reset, deleted by the user or removed with the app. Synchronized MathCross data remains in the user's private iCloud database until it is removed through MathCross or the user's Apple account controls. Users may contact jacbergson@protonmail.com for privacy questions or deletion assistance concerning information directly controlled by the publisher.
10. International processing
Third-party services such as Apple and Google may process information outside the user's country. Their safeguards and legal bases are described in their respective privacy notices.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated when MathCross features or legal requirements change. The latest version and revised update date will be published on this page.

2. Welke gegevens bewaart MathCross?
MathCross bewaart de spelgegevens die nodig zijn om de app te laten werken, waaronder een lokale naam of bijnaam, avatar, puzzelvoortgang, XP, levels, speelreeksen, statistieken, Career-voortgang, Daily-resultaten, collecties, uitdagingen en instellingen. MathCross vereist geen afzonderlijk account. Gebruik bij voorkeur een bijnaam en voer geen gevoelige persoonsgegevens in.
3. Lokale opslag en iCloud-synchronisatie
Spelvoortgang wordt lokaal op het apparaat bewaard. Wanneer de gebruiker bij iCloud is ingelogd en iCloud voor MathCross beschikbaar is, worden ondersteunde spelvoortgang en instellingen automatisch opgeslagen in de privé-CloudKit-database van de gebruiker en gesynchroniseerd tussen diens Apple-apparaten. Zonder iCloud blijft MathCross lokaal werken.
De apparaatbrede dagelijkse limiet van twee gratis volledige hints blijft lokaal en wordt niet via iCloud gesynchroniseerd. Premium-aankopen worden via Apple StoreKit hersteld. Via Instellingen kan de gebruiker opnieuw synchroniseren of MathCross-gegevens uit iCloud verwijderen.
4. Advertenties en privacykeuzes
MathCross gebruikt Google Mobile Ads voor interstitialadvertenties en vrijwillig gestarte rewarded advertenties. Afhankelijk van regio en privacykeuzes kunnen Google en advertentiepartners onder meer apparaatinformatie, advertentie-identificatoren, een globale locatie op basis van het IP-adres, advertentie-interacties, diagnostiek en prestatiegegevens verwerken.
Waar vereist gebruikt MathCross Google User Messaging Platform voor privacykeuzes. Beschikbare privacyopties kunnen vanuit Instellingen opnieuw worden geopend. Premium verwijdert gewone interstitialadvertenties. Zowel Premium- als gratis gebruikers krijgen twee gratis volledige hints per lokale kalenderdag; daarna kan vrijwillig één rewarded advertentie worden bekeken voor één extra volledige hint.
5. Meldingen en aankopen
Meldingen zijn optioneel en worden alleen gebruikt voor de Daily Puzzle en speelreeks. Aankopen worden door Apple verwerkt; MathCross ontvangt of bewaart geen betaalkaartgegevens.
6. Bewaartermijn en verwijderen
Lokale gegevens blijven op het apparaat totdat ze worden gereset, verwijderd of samen met de app worden verwijderd. Gesynchroniseerde gegevens blijven in de privé-iCloud-database totdat ze via MathCross of de Apple-accountinstellingen worden verwijderd.
